I use canon 60D and shoot in Raw but sometime after transfer using SD card reader to the computer. I have Mac both Desktop and Laptop. The duotones pictures I use camera raw and photoshop. DPP and EOS Utility (to be more correct) is Canon bundle soft, used for uploading photos from camera. I have a DS 126 151 Canon Rebel. I am a novice--very novice--and I have never had this happen before. I am trying to download my pictures from my camera to my home computer via the cable and I am getting a BUSY signal when trying to connect to the computer.

HI, I am new with RAW, honestly, I just learn from school to shoot in RAW this semester. Something weird happen to my photos which my teacher could not answer me. I am sure someone or many people here would know and help me with this issue. I use canon 60D and shoot in Raw but sometime after transfer using SD card reader to the computer all photos came out as JPG. When we did Duotone project, I shot in RAW but the pictures came out as JPG which I did research and found one youtube said 'shot in monochrome will work only on JPG' Well, now it happen to me as I set my camera in RAW and without do anything, not do processing but my all photos transfer to the computer as JPG.

Thank you for all help and I really appreciated. I'm too would suggest, that your software configured to load only JPG previews of RAW files or it's 'telling' that these are JPGs while files actually RAW. Go to any file proprieties and check what size it (RAW would be ~20 MB). Also check how fast the uploading from camera is - if it's fast meaning no RAW-JPG conversion done and what you see is JPG preview ( ~3 MB file size). As already was said - make sure to use DPP for file uploading and check again camera settings.
